Our client is a leading supplier of starches, sweeteners and other ingredients.

Location: Central Bangkok

Report to: Agricultural Business Director (Thai)

Responsibilities

• To ensure that the cost is competitive compared with the relevant benchmarks.
• To ensure that the quality meets standard set by the company.
• The deliveries are timely. There will be no disruption of production due to short of raw materials.
• Initiate and foster implementation to continuously improve sourcing model or work process.
• Work with other members in Agribusiness team to enhance synergy between root and starch sourcing.
• Work with other departments as a team to ensure the incoming raw materials support most operational excellence in terms of efficiency, safety and environment.
• Work with vendors to ensure continuous improvement of supply.
• Develop relationship with related third parties to ensure possible improvement is continuously explored and exploited.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in commodity sourcing or general procurement.  Experience in multi-national company is preferable.
• Bachelor or Master degree in business or related field.
• Good strategic thinking and strong negotiating skill.
• Demonstrate ability to make decision under ambiguity.
• Highly analytical mind.  Able to resolve complexity and communicate effectively.
• Good computer literacy.
• Very good command of English and be able to communicate effectively with the expatriates.
